Job Summary
1.Ensure carrier adheres to
pre-alert and booking slot metrics.
2.Work with carrier to effectively
manage timely and accurate status updates to Polaris. 3.Review root cause
analysis as issues occur with relevant carrier.
4.Co-ordinate weekly issues call
with each carrier
5.Provide monthly management
reporting by carrier.
6.Daily review of open / late
issues regarding transit of Inbound Carriers.
7.Liaise closely with Apple implant
at each POE / Warehouse to finalise truck scheduling and despatches.
8.First point of escalation for all
carrier related issues.
9.To lead the execution of
innovative solutions for the business from Logistics perspective. 10.Good
understanding of the local tax & regulatory issues and its impact on
operations, 11.Able to extract insights
from data, latest internal and external information and be able to communicate
clearly appropriate triggers and actions.
12.Inbound / Outbound shipment
tracking and escalations follow up (Applecare)
13.Own the entire logistics Claims
process end to end in India.
14.Bills processing in system and
GR creation for all local vendors.
Key Qualifications
1.Previous experience of supplier /
carrier management essential.
2.Strong problem solving skills
required. Should have demonstrated good judgment in 3.selecting methods and
techniques for obtaining solutions.
4.Good knowledge on road
transportation / distribution. Must have worked on problems of 5.diverse scope
where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
6.Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment.
7.Good understanding of Microsoft
Office.
8.Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.
Education
BA/BS degree or equivalent
practical experience. 5 years of relevant experience in managing logistics
operations for global companies
